MPSI Fellows Recruitment - Pre-Doctoral Training Program

Published Monday, April 17, 2017

The Merrill Palmer Skillman Institute (MPSI) is actively seeking talented doctoral students with a strong interest in infant, child, or adolescent development, especially within family or community contexts, for a one-year research fellowship through the Institute's Pre-Doctoral Fellows Program. Additional years of funding are available if the student is making appropriate academic and research progress.  Our interdisciplinary program is meant to complement a student's PhD degree training in the home department and is intended to provide students with additional skills in pursuit of a research-related career in either academic or other professional settings.

MPSI's Pre-Doctoral Fellows Program provides intensive research mentorship, exposure to interdisciplinary perspectives, conference participation, professional development seminars, a regular MPSI Colloquia Speaker Series and interaction with national and international visitors to the Institute.  New fellows would join a strong cohort of students and faculty dedicated to improving the lives of infants, children, and adolescents, along with their families, through developmental science research and education.

The deadline for applications is May 22, 2017. More details about the program and how to apply are included in the attached application. Please forward this announcement to faculty, graduate students and anyone else who may be interested in the program.

Please do not hesitate to direct any questions you might have to me at either Hilary.Ratner@wayne.edu or (313) 664-2777. I look forward to hearing from you!
