Think Wayne State is great? Become a Community Ambassador!

Published Monday, April 17, 2017

The Wayne State University Office of Admissions is seeking enthusiastic faculty, staff and alumni to support its recruitment efforts by serving as Community Ambassadors or assisting with events. Individuals interested in spreading the word about the great things happening at Wayne State are invited to attend the Ambassador training session on Monday, May 15; it will be held at the WSU Welcome Center from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

During the interactive training session, participants will learn how to present to students, handle financial aid inquiries, and address frequently asked questions. Participants will receive a toolkit that includes a PowerPoint presentation about the admissions process, lead cards they can distribute to students at events and a WSU Ambassador polo shirt to wear when representing the university. Interested individuals may represent WSU at admissions events, community programs, or activities sponsored by organizations to which they belong. They may also be asked to participate in admissions campaigns, such as sending postcards to admitted students or attending welcome events for admitted students in their communities.

To register or learn more, send an email to admissions@wayne.edu. Please put "Ambassador Training" in the subject line.
